LOL, this sounds like me most of the time. We as network marketers have got to get into a more positive frame of mind. We want to succeed but we have to make steps if we really want that brass ring. One of my fellow distributors posted this on our forum, hopes it helps you. It truly got me thinking :).
If this is you then chances are you don’t have a Plan.
I hear this sometimes from other distributors and it instantly tells me, “Ok, time to sit down together and hash out a very specific PLAN.”
It has been statistically shown that most businesses fail for lack of a Plan. If you were to start a Franchise or Traditional business, the first step is to WRITE a business plan.
Well why in Network Marketing when the profits are higher do we sign people up and say ok, go talk to everyone you know then we’ll train and then we’ll create your business plan.That’s called setting up for frustration and failure! It just doesn’t work that way! A really wise businessman, Jimmy Smith, always says “Plan your work, and work your plan.” He’s an 80 year old retired butcher who has become a millionaire in the network marketing industry. I tend to listen to what he has to say…! What’s YOUR plan?Here are some first steps you can take toward creating a clear action plan for building a successful and thriving business.
1) How am I Marketing daily? I am just working by default hoping I will run into people everyday?
2) When I recruit someone who wants to build a team and create a steady stream of residual income what do I do with them? The same thing goes for new members who want to build with retail or fundraisers.
How are you going to help that new person get into Profit Mode in their first few weeks?
3) How do I coach my team? How do I determine who is serious and wants to work with me, and who wants to be babysat?
Here is a good test taught by Big Al Shretier, a multi-millionaire in Networking. TEST! Give your team-mate a test. For example: I need you to listen to this call within the next 24 to 48 hours and give me your feedback.
If that person does not respond in 48 hours, do you want to take time away from your family and business to continue with that person? NO! You go find New teammates. Your time is your most important asset and you must be selfish with your time.
